I am personally acquainted with BJ Speer, as my sister is Sharon Dartt of the Dartts, the group BJ sings with. I would have enjoyed the book just because of our personal connection, but was very pleasantly surprised to find that I was truly challenged by the Dusty Road story. I also enjoy BJ's song the, "The Dusty Road".I recommend this wonderful recounting for anyone who is finding themselves in a situation which feels hopeless. I remember where BJ was before he and God took on this difficult situation. It is simply amazing to see how BJ has grown through this
situation. Even now, Billy Speer is suffering from more and more dementia, but the story of how God is working this all out continues to be amazing.

Very good book. I especially enjoyed it because I went to a lot of the Billy Speer concerts.
I greatly enjoyed reading this account of a singer I grew up listening to and seeing in concert in Maine. It is heartbreaking to read of how his physical and mental state has failed, but so encouraging and uplifting to learn of the faith of his wife and son, and perfect provision of God to them.
I have been ministered to by the Speer family in the past with their music and testimony. This book chronicles their journey through some rough times and how God provided and their faith strengthened. I was encouraged in my faith from reading this.
It was very easy reading and I read it in just a couple of days.
This book is truly a testament to God's faithfulness! My thoughts and prayers are with this remarkable family. I am going through my own valley at this time and this book has blessed me and encouraged me! God bless you all as you continue to serve the Lord! I will definitely reccomend this book to others.
